Welcome to the Wildman website! Corporate Wildman is home to the Wildman Challenges, the Wildman Events and the destinations and venues that you should be visiting if you want to find some the best wildlife, birding and fishing in Southern Africa. We also run an interesting little section called the Wildman Legends where iconic animal and fish stories have been recorded for you bring out around the next campfire.

Wildman Challenges are the vision and drive behind what we do – while we explain it in more detail inside the site, just imagine the thrill of hunting wild game, only now we’re using cameras and wildcards as opposed to rifles and bullets. Wildlife and birding challenges run in very similar formats where the challenge is to spot or sight as many different species as possible and record your sighting by photographing it. Different species will score you different points and each venue has been rated on a ‘par’ system. This ‘par’ is the number of points you should score when you out at a particular venue. The Fishing Challeges run along a similar them, but the scoring is slightly different. When attempting a fishing challenge, you score for the number of species AS WELL AS the size of the individual fish you have caught. However, we award different weight categories of the different fish species, their own points value. In other words, someone who catches a 3lb African Pike (which is a good sized catch for this species) will score the same number of points for the pike as their competitor who has caught a 12lb tigerfish. The Wildman Events cover a range of amazing set events like the brilliant tiger fishing of the Lungwebungu, or the fun filled trout fishing competition in the Boston Dargle area. But Wildman Events are also custom made packages and itineraries created for corporate groups, schools or family trips and drop us a line to see what we can put together for you. We highly recommend the Wildman Triple Challenge – ideal for corporates or large groups of friends, we journey to a venue offering wildlife, birding and fishing activities – the Lower Zambezi is a good example of such a place – and divide into teams for 3 – 5 days of fun and exciting challenges with a prize giving ceremony to finish it all off!

Finally the Wildman Legends – this is really the page for ‘campies.’ It details amazing stories of different animals, fisherman or the wilderness venues that are really worth reading or repeating. Have a look at our stories and if you feel we have left a story out, put it together and upload it onto our Facebook page and we will load it up and reference you as the author if we feel its worthy!
